STAT QUO

On this ordinary afternoon Atlanta-native rap star Stat Quo is extraordinarily fatigued, having spent the past several hours in the gym exercising after putting in a long night shift in the recording studio with hit-making producer Dr. Dre. “I had a serious work-out,” he says with a laugh, sounding exhausted. Stat’s success – from his critically acclaimed “Underground Atlanta” mixtape series, to Shady Records’ platinum-selling ensemble LP “The Re-Up” with Eminem – has held its weight under recording industry pressure. Yet Stat continues pushing himself hard to lift his career to new heights. This tireless work ethic and drive emerged while Stat Quo was a student at University of Florida where he earned an International Business and Economics degree.

"JUICE"

Another busy morning at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport: Its signage-decorated corridors packed, as usual, with shuffling travelers - baggage in their hands and destinations scheduled. Aphilliates Music Group recording artist Willie The Kid shuffles among them un-phased by the commotion. A graduate of Clark Atlanta University, he built immunity to traversing crowds as a student en route to classes on campus. However, Willie The Kid isn’t headed to Haven-Warren Hall for an English exam. He’s leaving his Atlanta home to rendezvous with colleague DJ Drama in Texas for a live performance date. Before boarding his plane he stops at McDonald’s for the most important meal of the day.
